Thoughts: Ring of Honor is what I consider to be the king of the indies. There’s a very good reason that they are considered the number three promotion in the nation right now, and that is because ROH features the cream of the crop in independent wrestling. While the in ring work is off the charts, many wrestlers in ROH seem to fall short when it comes to the mic. However, in the independent circuit, that is not uncommon, and ROH does have it’s fair share of wrestlers that have the “gift of gab.” People like Kevin Steen, The Briscoes, and Jay Lethal all shine during promos. If you want the best WRESTLING that the indies have to offer, then ROH is absolutely the promotion you need to check out. If you only check one match, it HAS to be Davey Richards vs. Michael Elgin from this year's Showdown in the Sun PPV. This match is so good that it is an early match of the year candidate. Quite simply, if you’re fan of professional wrestling and prefer it to sports entertainment, then ROH is where you belong.

Note: I’ll be doing a different “Indy Spotlight” each week, which will hopefully be posted on Wednesdays. All “Indy Spotlights” are written by me, and me alone and my opinions may not match the other writers on this site. If you are wrestler, promoter, or fan of a promotion that you think I should take a look at, please drop me a line at mikebradfordftlow@gmail.com or on twitter @Bradford_FTLOW. I’m not expecting anything free, I have no problem supporting you by buying a DVD.
