As we all know (and saw with our own eyes), Jerry "The King" Lawler suffered a near-fatal heart attack during the Monday Night Raw broadcast on September 10th. During his feud with the WWE Champion and freshly-turned-heel, CM Punk, Lawler's reputation as a Memphis legend has come under fire. While we know that the insults CM Punk has been hurling at Lawler are kayfabe, I thought it might be fun to take a look at Lawler's accomplishments as a professional wrestler. I knew that Lawler was a decorated champion, but I was unaware that he had won 168 championships during his celebrated career (surprisingly, none with the WWE). Below you'll find a list of all the championships Lawler has won, as well as a list of other accomplishments and awards that have been bestowed upon him throughout his wrestling career.

On top of all of these championships, Lawler has landed on the PWI Top 500 Singles Wrestlers twice (#12 in 1991 and #23 in 2003) and on the PWI Top 100 Tag Teams once (#56 in 2003). In 1992 and 1993, Lawler would take home the the Feud of the Year award from both PWI and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (in 1992 w/ Jeff Jarret vs. The Moondogs and in 1993 vs. Bret Hart). He is also a three time Hall of Famer. Lawler was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1996, the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2011.
